| WELCOME TO AGAPE CHRISTIAN CHURCH!
Redeeming the Time
2008 marks the 13th year of Agape Christian Church. We give thanks to the abiding presence of God, His faithfulness; His protection; His precision. Thank God for placing us in a position where we can stand firm and grow up in strength, might, power and wisdom. We have always declared that our dependence is in His Word, the Bible. And for God to fulfil His plans and purposes for us, God has given us His Holy Spirit to reveal to us, the church, who Jesus is, that we might know Jesus as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Holy Spirit will teach us all things, bringing us all things to remembrance (John 14:26).
In 2008 we face the battle with URGENCY. This is not a natural battle, but spiritual; but the good thing is this battle is not ours. It is the Lord’s (1 Sam 17:47). We are God’s warriors and our battle cry is “REEDEEMING THE TIME”. Why?
So little time, so much to do. “A minute saved is a minute gained.” Yet, some accomplish more for time and eternity than others. Time is valuable and
irreplaceable. How come we waste time without feeling a great loss?
The bible says in Ephesians 5:15-16 and Colossians 4:5 that we have to walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Much time could be saved if we would organise our lives and do away with half-heartedness.
We who are the Sons of God (John 1:12) should portray the orderliness of Our Father, God is an organiser. Every part of His creation works according to basic plans on cycle. He is a God of order (1 Chr. 14:33 & 40).
A Christian should put his whole heart into everything he does, eliminating laziness, slothful ways or lack of directions. Paul wrote, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. (Col. 3:23-24; Ecc. 9:10 & 10:18, Prov. 18:9 & 20:13).
Organise your day and make goals for yourself. It gives a feeling of
accomplishment and success. We have time for what we make time for, by
simply using wisely that time allotted to each of us. “I don’t have time” is an excuse of an unorganised and those without goals.
Arlene Spencer once said, “God is not a slave driver. For He knoweth our frame, He remembereth that we are dust (Ps 103:14). He has made a time for everything. A time to work, play, worship, rest, laugh, mourn, embrace, love and etc. (Ecc. 3:1-12; 2 Cor 4:15-18). All of these areas of our life need to be balanced or else we will wear out before our time.
So much time, so much to do. A busy person is a happy person. Busy people don’t have time to complain.
